Hannah Blackburn knew she would never make it out of that town alive. She learned to live in it with the monsters that ruined her.
All she ever wanted was to be loved. Why wasn’t that enough?
Throwing herself into their world, she vows to take them down, one by one until she made them all pay. What she didn’t count on was Drew.
He was vile, just like the others, but there was something deeper to him.

Review

Devious Revenge is officially my favourite book from Erin Trejo! My dark and depraved gauge is now full!

Right from the very start this story blew my mind. There is so much pain and horror, yet Erin controls it all in a way that you can sympathise and feel the same level of resentment and anger.

For me, Devious Revenge really tells the story of two people who’s minds have been warped and disjointed by their pasts. About two people who can see that disturbance in each other, and cling to it.

Yes there are some tough scenes to read, and I’m sure many triggers for some. But I absolutely loved it. Not every story can hold sunshine and roses, not every story has a happily ever after.

After finishing this book, the first thing that came to mind was Shakespeare.

‘Parting is such sweet sorrow’

It is a term I felt for the ending scene, and how I felt when I turned the final page.
