REVIEW: Silver Flame by Karpov Kinrade

In the USA TODAY bestselling series, Vampire Girl, Karpov Kinrade took the world by storm. Now, the saga continues in book 3, Silver Flame.

I was an ordinary girl, living an ordinary life, until I sold my soul to save my mother. Now, I am trapped between two worlds. Between the vampire demons who own my contract, and the Fae whose bloodline flows in me. Between the prince I’m falling in love with, and the race his kind has enslaved.

Silver Flame is a great addition to the Vampire Girl series!

In this book we discover more secrets and unearth further difficulties for Arianna and her friends. It’s both thrilling and nerve wracking.

We are also introduced to a sexy, mysterious new character; Tavian. He is certainly an intriguing character and one I want to know more of.

Though I love the storyline, I felt at times it was rushed, as if the build up to important scenes were less thought of in a haste to get to more exciting scenes. Arianna makes some mistakes in this book, which actually is kind of good to see, it gives her more depth knowing she isn’t perfect. However, I kind of feel that her reactions to her mistakes were rushed, it seemed to just be an – oh well, can’t change what’s happened so let’s just deal with it. And, to me, that isn’t the Arianna of the first two books and it made me dislike her a little for it.

For me, I far more enjoyed Kayla in this story. I connected with her far easier and found her to be a much more likeable character. I certainly hope we see more of her and Tavian in later books.

I can’t wait to read more of this series. The fantastic surprise at the end of the book has me craving more from this fantastic writing duo!
