REVIEW: Between Heaven and Hell by Erin Trejo

Five Stars

Cordae “Demon” Vitale.
People feared me. They respected me.
I was the Boss of the Vitale family at twenty-two.
One of the youngest in history.
I ran my business exceptionally.
My emotions were never part of this life.
Ava made me realize that there was more to life than what I had.
She pushed me to limits I didn’t think I could go to.
At the end of the day, I was forced between heaven and hell.
Much like the rest of my life, I was teetering on that fine line in between.

Losing something that means a lot to you, can change a person.
It changed me.
I will travel to the ends of the earth to get back that one thing that meant the most to me.
I will destroy everyone in my path to make that happen.

Love this book. Could not put it down!

Oh the feels and thrills that came with reading this amazing story!

I haven’t read many mafia romances, but Between Heaven and Hell has certainly pulled my attention towards the genre.

So much happens in this story and one of the things I love is how Erin Trejo isn’t afraid to go to dark places and situations, or give the reader the ugly and brutally honest side of her characters.

When you break the story down and really analyse every decision Cord makes, Cord is no doubt a bad guy who really doesn’t deserve any form of happiness. But yet, no matter what evil he chooses to enact, I couldn’t help but want that happiness for him.

Between Heaven and Hell was an emotional rollercoaster with surprising twists around every bend. Amazing read and couldn’t recommend it enough!
